Fact-checking Brad Bradford, one post at a time.

Standards

Corrections

A site that checks other people's accuracy has to be accountable for its own. Nothing here is quietly deleted.

The policy

  • Errors of fact are corrected, not removed. The article stays at its original URL, the wrong text is fixed, and a dated note explaining what changed is added to the article and to the log below.
  • If a correction changes the verdict, we say so. The note records the old rating and the new one. A verdict that moves is the most important thing we can tell you.
  • Typos and broken links are fixed silently. If it doesn't change the meaning, it doesn't need a note.
  • Right of reply. If the subject of a check disputes it and supplies evidence, we assess the evidence and publish the outcome either way.

Found an error?

Send it to corrections@bradfordfacts.cawith a link to the article and, ideally, a source. Substantive challenges get a response and, where warranted, a correction.
